Even though I hate serial stories, I am already addicted to this one

I was so VERY excited that Alexis Adaire was releasing an erotic BBW romance that not only was contemporary but an intelligent erotic romance as well. What do I mean by that you ask? Well if you read BBW books, most of them are paranormal or wham, bam, thank you mam books and while I do love those books, it’s nice to read a book where the leading man doesn’t change into an animal.
Anyway, let’s get on with the story. Rachel is a BBW woman who is looking for some excitement in her life, but is maybe a little scare to go out and get it (in my opinion). But one day she comes across this ad for a man wanting a submissive. It wasn’t quite what the man put that attracted her to the ad, but the accompanying photo. Rachel walks away from her computer, to go to work, but cannot get the image out of her head. When she comes home she finds the ad deleted, which disappoints her, until she realizes that she has opened a reply window in her Gmail…what should she do.
This book literally had me on the edge of my seat…what will she do? Her decision surprised me, but not as much as what comes after…I am not going to say anymore other than the fact that the story was well written and I enjoyed everything but the cliffhanger at the end (I have no patients to wait for the net book). Even though I hate serial stories, I am already addicted to this one.
Forced to Bloom book 1 earns 9 out of 10 from me.

OMG Alexis Adaire is a masterful writer! She's got me addicted and I can't stop reading this series. The psychological and sexual tension between the central character and her billionaire dom is amazing. The suspense slowed somewhat in book 4, but it picked up again deliciously in book 5 and I can't wait to read book 6. In the mean time I'm going to sample some of Alexis Adaire's other books. Amazing author. Amazing series.

He knows how to hook all kinds of people and keep them hooked. To see it from Addiction's viewpoint can really slap a dabbler in drugs and habits that produce drug-like states. The time to digest and share this book is as much as possible before a person gets addicted.

This book is one of a series written by Ken Montrose, a Certified Addictions Counselor with a Master's degree in Developmental Psychology. He has many years of experience in helping people with addictions, including his own.

To know how your enemy operates gives you the weapons to help you be the victor. So Mr. Addiction promises: "I thought I'd tell you exactly how I plan to destroy your life, to see if that would make the game a little more interesting.... Just to be really fair I'll leave space for you to plan how you will defeat me." Mr. Addiction is so confident of his skills and power that he gives you a way out. Kenneth J. Collins is Professor of Historical Theology and Wesley Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky, and an elder in the Kentucky Conference of The United Methodist Church. He also teaches at the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary in Estonia, and is a member of the Wesleyan Theological Society, Wesley Historical Society, and Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality. He is the author of A Real Christian: The Life of John Wesley, The Scripture Way of Salvation: The Heart of John Wesley's Theology, co-editor of Conversion in the Wesleyan Tradition, and John Wesley: A Theological Journey.

A must read for anyone interested in Wesley!

"John Wesley: A Theological Journey" is an excellent introduction into the theology of the founder of Methodism. What I most enjoyed about this book is how the author shows the changes in and development of Wesley's beliefs. This alone helps explain why different denominations claim Wesley as their theological inspiration while having strong disagreements from one another.
Collins helps us gain insight into the fact that John Wesley (who was 88 when he died) was always growing and developing his thought. There are times when some of the theological issues that Wesley struggled with may not seem as relevant today (the difference between dispositions and attitudes is just one example). However, what is intriguing is to see first hand through his letters and sermons how Wesley developed.
Collins is also careful to show where some modern interpretations of Wesley either ignore later changes in his thinking or take his views out of context. A good example of this is Wesley's insistence that the Christian life needs to be inward and not solitary. Collins claims some have misquoted Wesley and said that for Wesley the Christian life "was principally, if not exclusively, concerned with public religion and the social order."
Because this book is so well documented, it makes checking the original sources easy! Therefore, the reader can find out for herself/himself the accuracy of each quote. This actually inspired me to read a number of Wesley's sermons so I could determine for myself what Wesley was saying.
This is a must read for anyone wishing to understand who John Wesley was and how his theology developed over his lifetime!

The evolution of John Wesley's theology

From John Wesley's ancestors, the English political and theological climate, the books Wesley read, and the people Wesley met, we learn how his theology developed. This book reveals the "fire and brimstone" Wesley in his youth turning into the pastorally sensitive older Wesley. The effects of the Anglican Church, German Pietists, Catholicism, and Puritanism all leave their clear mark on this pious and evangelical man.
The concept of the little church within the church is as worthy of consideration today as it was in the 18th century. Christian accountability is needed today. Wesley knew how to make Christian disciples. Today's efforts at forming classes, pale in comparison.
Wesley left us with a fairly detailed, insightful and personal account of his life. Wesley's plain account of Biblical text resulted in his "ordo salutis" which becomes difficult to deny. Collin's book reviews and analyzes Wesley's accounts within their historical perspective. We see Wesley with his warts and his insights.
This book is inspiring in it's historical account of Wesley's evolving theology. Read it and stand on the shoulder's of a giant in the faith.

John Wesley: A Theological Journey was delightful to read. It is reader friendly and yet very thorough. Both the life and thought of Wesley are explored with great depth and yet with remarkable ease, all of which is attractive for all kinds of readers. I appreciated the straightforward comments made in light of an honest regard for the successes and failures in the life of John Wesley. The development of the theme of holy love is artfully composed and well documented. I highly recommend this book to those wishing to grow in their understanding of the founder of Methodism or who are seeking an engaging invitation to a vibrant and enduring theology.

A must-have book for any Holocaust collection!

I work in a New Jersey school where we have more students who belong to the Jehovah's Witnesses. Because of that, I went looking for a book for our high school students that presented the Holocaust from a Jehovah's Witnesses' perspective because I believe it's important for students to understand the whole meaning of the Holocaust. It wasn't just one population. Because Jehovah's Witnesses have a stereotype of knocking on your doors, people might not understand them. None of my students have ever approached me about my personal religion. But for the students to understand the HOlocaust today, this book is a necessity especially since some of my students are more likely to know a Jehovah's Witness than another Jewish student so this book comes in handy in helping bridge a connection to the past.

This is one of the most beautiful books I have ever had the honor to read. It is very human, very real and Simone Liebster does a simply remarkable job of telling her story of when she was a little girl facing tremendous pressure by the Nazi regimen. No little girl should ever have to face these types horrors, but her faith in her God, Jehovah, helped her to heal eventually and she tells her story in a way that captures the imagination and makes one understand the power of faith in a living God. A must read. No regrets.

In the past two decades we have witnessed unprecedented changes in the U.S. beer industry. The emergence of craft brewers and consumers newfound appreciation for quality beer have resulted in what is often called the "Craft Beer Renaissance." Beer has taken on a new excitement and relevancy to the average person. It is no longer thought of only in the context of large commercial brewers with their mass-marketed beers. The marked increase in the number of brew pubs and microbreweries and the burgeoning growth in the number of home brewers indicate how deeply brewing beer has captured the popular imagination.

The Brewers Handbook is intended to provide an introduction to brewing beer, and to give a balanced, reasonably detailed account of every major aspect of the brewing process. This book not only discusses brewing beer on a large-scale commercial basis, it has made every effort to address brewing practices typically used by craft brewers. Thus its applicability extends to home brewers and to individuals working in the brewing industry and related fields.It is written in a language that can be easily understood by anyone not having a background in brewing beer. However, the material is not so elementary that it insults your intelligence, nor is it so difficult that its makes you lose interest in the subject. Clarity is the touchstone that has been employed throughout this book.

About the Author
Ted Goldammer is an international marketing consultant at the Foreign Agricultural Service in washington, D.C., where he is currently involved in developing international markets for U.S. agricultural commodities. He has traveled throughout Europe, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Among the commodities he has promoted has been hops and wine. Prior to his current position ted worked as a commodity analyst for the foreign agricultural service.

His previous professional experience includes working for 6 years at Agricor Consultants in Arizona on a variety of jobs including brewery and winery related projects. The work included writing business plans and market assessments as well as cost-benefit analysis, e.g. the cost savings in step-mashing vs. decoction mashing. The work also involved assisting clients in the initial stages of brewery or winery startup such as securing venture capital, equipment financing, and recommendations in production practices.

While at Agricor, he wrote a manual describing the process of brewing beer, a result of his life long passion in the art of brewing beer. Ted started homebrewing in the early 1970s, which eventually grew into an interest in commercial beer production.

In addition, Ted worked for nearly 5 years at the environmental research lab (the company that developed the EPCOT theme at Disney World) in Arizona as a research horticulturist. His work involved growing and identifying plants suitable for forage production in coastal deserts.

Ted received his M.S. in Economics from the University of Arizona at Tucson and a B.S. in both Agriculture and Chemistry at the University of Arizona.

Informative, but not directed to homebrewers

The book's back cover, mentions that this book is applicable to homebrewers, and it is in a theoretical aspect. I found the book to be a good reference for how the brewing industry does things, but is not applicable to an intermediate homebrewer wanting to learn more about brewing beer at home.

A good reference book

The handbook is a good read, if a little disjoint. Its packed with useful information to help brewers understand the process of brewing and the basics.

I only have a couple of issues with the book. First of all, the chapters are in a weird order. Mashing is one of the later chapters, when its one of the first things you need to know. The chapter on grain assumes you know about mashing. So the book is a bit awkward if you read the chapters in order.

My second issue is the disjoint information in the chapters. Did this book go through an editing process? It seems like this is just a brain dump from a brilliant brewer. I recognize that this isn't supposed to be entertaining, but transitional phrases never killed anyone.

Those points aside, I am very happy with this book, and I'm glad to have it in my collection of brewing literature.

A Must for Beginners and Experts

The sheer breadth of what this book offers is almost too good to be true for the price. For the past several years I've been studying beer brewing and I wish this had been the first book I cracked open. The author shows an immense talent as a writer and editor and should be commended on a well-written comprehensive book. What I especially liked about this book is that the author has made every attempt to discuss every aspect of the brewing process -- ingredients, milling, cleaning and sanitation, mashing, wort separation, wort cooling, fermentation, conditioning, filtration, carbonation, and packaging. If you're just beginning to learn about beer, this is the book to get. If you already knowledgeable about brewing beer, get it anyway. You won't regret the purchase
